Welcome home, PL-Lublin 2006

by Angelika Fojtuch and Johannes Deimling

Duration 15 minutes

Description of action He is barefooted standing in the gallery space. From time to time he strains his muscles and is pressing his face red. Like to open a ventil he let after a few seconds the air out of his body. She is crawling on all fours outside in the corridor and pushes with her face about 50 red apples on the floor into the room where he is standing. It takes some time until she is in the room and until all apples are laying infront of the feets of him. She stands up and rubs one of these apples on her body and offers him the apple infront of his mouth. He takes a bite and spills it in front of the feets of the audience. She takes another apple and repeats her offer. During rubbing the apple he ist drumming with his hands on his stomach. He stopps and takes a bite of the apple and spills it again in front of the audience on the floor. She takes now more apples and put them into his shirt. After a while he opens the buttons of his shirt and suddenly the apples are falling on the floor and rolling around in the room. He starts to sing with head  voice a german children's song In meinem kleinen Apfel...- (in my little apple...). She bites during this song in his stomach and leaves red tracks on his skin. Suddenly he pushes her with force away of his body and starts to collect apples. She is runing full speed into him, he falls down and they start a serious fight. The fight ends after a few minutes on the floor, when he is laying on her body. The two bodies are breathing deeply, after a while they calm down. Both stands up and leaves the room together.
